Association of Professionals in Business Management

Association of Professionals in Business Management

The APBM exists to educate business professionals in all facets of business management through examination and ongoing education. It promotes the value of Certified Business Managers to business and industry and ensures that all CBMs in good standing have access to the most current business management insight available. The APBM sponsors The Certificate in Business Management (CBM) and the Certified Business Manager (CBM) credentials.

AMA members can earn the CBM credential by completing The Certificate in Business Management exam. The exam tests a Common Body of Knowledge for Business that is based on a practical business curriculum that addresses the real needs of practitioners in the business field. The CBM exam consists of two parts divided into ten modules that, in turn, are divided into 154 major topics.
